Catch Up... Masen etc.

Well it has been awhile since I have put up a new post about how my family is doing and especially how my sweet Masen is growing up. We had his two week appointment on the 7th and He weighed in at 8lbs. 4oz. and 21 & 3/4". He is growing up so fast already. I can't believe how fast they grow. Can't they stay little longer?? Masen is a very good baby. He sleeps well through the night and only wakes up to eat. When He is awake he is very alert and smiles a lot. :D He has a really strong neck already, and holds his head up pretty good when he is sitting. He likes to be held a lot too, but that is okay with me right now because he has a lot of people here to hold him. My parents and little sister came out on the 6th and are leaving tomorrow. I will miss them greatly and am very happy to have them here.

Uncle Nelson can't get over how Small he is.

Grandma can't get enough of me.

Masen John Gainer was Blessed by his father on Sunday May 10th, 2009, Mothers Day! I couldn't think of a greater gift to be given to both his Grandmothers and his very own mom than for him to be blessed that day. He was pretty good during the blessing too. He fussed just a little but that was because he was hungry. John did a wonderful job on the blessing and I am very proud of him.

Masen in his Blessing outfit, (complements of Sis. Easton), and the blanket his Grandma Gracie Hodges made.

The blanket in the background of this picture is one that my sister-in-law Jennifer made.

On Saturday the 9th all of us piled up into two cars and went to St. Louis for John to receive his Endowments at the St. Louis Temple. It was a remarkable day! :) Neither me or John can wait to go back to the temple again. This trip was also Masen's first trip so far away from home. He did really well, and slept most of the time. I am glad he did so well, I was a little worried.

Masen doesn't like the wind. Everytime it blew in his face he would get really fussy, so this is Daddy's way of keeping the wind out of his face. :)

Here are some random updated pictures of Masen. I am yet to get a picture of his smile but I will keep trying.

CHECK ME OUT!!!
My first outside outing and Aunt Morgan put her sunglasses on me since it was BRIGHT!

Tummy time which he doesn't mind until he is there to long.
One of Mommy's favorite outfits.
She LOVES coveralls.

Daddy didn't quite get my diaper on right.

Playing with Masen's Hair

I like to play and rub little Masen's head. It is so soft and precious. I am afraid if I keep playing with it as much as I do I might make it all go bald and he will loose it all before he is suppose too... :(
These are two pictures of Daddy's favorite way to do Masen's hair.

Masen came @ a Wonderful time!

I just want to say that I love the timing of my Sweet Masens' arrival. The trees are so green and Beautiful. This is one of my most favorite times of the year, where everything turns green and renews itself from the long winter. It just makes me think that the world is being reborn, and with the birth of Masen I love Spring time even more than before!
A few pictures of the trees on the road to my house.

Masen John Gainer

Okay I know there are a lot of you out there waiting to see pictures of my sweet little boy so I will post them for you now.
Masen John Gainer was born on April 24, 2009 @ 8:33pm. He is 7lbs 9oz and 20" long. He only took one hour to push out but I was in labor for about 15 all together. Not counting the long hours at home. I am so grateful for the epidural though. Without it I don't know if I could have done the whole thing. Either way this precious son of mine is totally worth it! John is so happy to have little Masen here too! He is a Wonderful Daddy already. Between all of us here at our house we only have one complaint: Masen has REALLY BAD GAS!!! The stinkiest of stinky gases I have ever smelt come out of a Baby before. Poor little one though. If he stinks that bad I can only imagine how bad his poor little tummy feels, but he doesn't act like it really does.
