The most Amazing Feeling

Okay lets start out by saying my little one is a total 'Mamma's Boy' right now. He will still go to other people but he doesn't like it at first. Yesterday after a long day of shopping we lost Masen's Binky and he would not take any of the other ones that we had. He defiantly prefers the Gum Drop Pacifier. Thankful a Sister in our ward who lives close by happened to have an extra unopened one that I could buy from her. So I quickly ran over to her house and got the Binky so Masen would be able to sleep that night. When I got home he was half asleep on Auntie Morgan's lap, and when he heard my voice he started to get fussy. We gave him his new Binky but that was not what he wanted. I let Morgan still hold him for a bit, but he just would stop fussing (he wasn't crying, just fussy... he doesn't cry much.). So I went over and rubbed his little head and told him that he was okay but that just made it worse, so I took him from Morgan and almost immediately he stopped fussing and was perfectly calm and content just sitting there in my arms. I felt so loved and so happy that I just wanted to cry. (I didn't actually cry till I told the story to John) Masen knew exactly who I was and, it was just so amazing to know that I am that needed and that just by hearing my voice or by feeling my touch he knows that everything is okay. I don't know how to really describe what I felt or how I still feel but to say that Motherhood is such an amazing remarkable thing, and anyone who hasn't had the opportunity to experience such a thing is missing out and I hope that they get the opportunity to do such soon.

ME

Yesterday I wanted to make myself up so I did... I haven't done it in a long time, I almost forgot what it felt like to look pretty. Not that I am calling myself ugly, I guess I should say what it feels like to make an effort.

Walking

Masen got to come on his first walk with everyone the other day. I wrapped him up all tight in my Mobey Wrap, which I LOVE, but it is really HOT!!, and we headed out. I was fun.

Ryland, Me, Masen, TyTy, and Ronnie. (TyTy is our boy goat.)

Ryland Just couldn't walk anymore so he had to jump up into my arms.... Talk about your daily WORK OUT!

Ryland absolutely loves to give Masen 'Loves' and 'Kisses'.

Now you see him....

Now you don't.

Masen 'The first month'

Wow how fast does time fly. I can not believe that my little baby is a month old this coming Sunday. He is growing so fast on me too. I just wish he would stay little just a bit longer, but I am also very excited to see what kind of personality he will have and to see him learn all the kewl things in life. It has been such a joy to have in my life. I knew the love you have for your children is strong, but I didn't realize it was this powerful. I really didn't think at first that my heart could have this much room for love. Between the wonderful love that I have for my husband and now the love that I carry in my heart for Masen, it is just so powerful. I wish I could show everyone just how I felt, but I know those who are mothers already know what I am talking about. It is just miraculous how happy these two make me! :D

Here are a few photos of Masen.

Yay I actually got one of his little smile. It is not the big smile he usually gives but it is close enough for me. :) He makes a lot of faces when he sleeps and this is one I managed to get.

Showing off how long he is!

Daddy fell asleep with him and it was to precious to not get a picture.

His 'Billi-Cord' (as I call it) finally fell off and he took a shower with John and I. After the shower Dad needed to dry off too so he wrapped Masen up and let him hang out in the sink. He was so content too.

Asleep on the couch.

Just hangin out on the bed.

I wanted to see if I could get a good picture to show everyone the color of his hair, because in this outfit is really showed, but it didn't work out so well. He has a straberry blonde hint to his hair.

So peaceul. I love to watch him sleep.

Catch Up... Masen etc.

Well it has been awhile since I have put up a new post about how my family is doing and especially how my sweet Masen is growing up. We had his two week appointment on the 7th and He weighed in at 8lbs. 4oz. and 21 & 3/4". He is growing up so fast already. I can't believe how fast they grow. Can't they stay little longer?? Masen is a very good baby. He sleeps well through the night and only wakes up to eat. When He is awake he is very alert and smiles a lot. :D He has a really strong neck already, and holds his head up pretty good when he is sitting. He likes to be held a lot too, but that is okay with me right now because he has a lot of people here to hold him. My parents and little sister came out on the 6th and are leaving tomorrow. I will miss them greatly and am very happy to have them here.

Uncle Nelson can't get over how Small he is.

Grandma can't get enough of me.

Masen John Gainer was Blessed by his father on Sunday May 10th, 2009, Mothers Day! I couldn't think of a greater gift to be given to both his Grandmothers and his very own mom than for him to be blessed that day. He was pretty good during the blessing too. He fussed just a little but that was because he was hungry. John did a wonderful job on the blessing and I am very proud of him.

Masen in his Blessing outfit, (complements of Sis. Easton), and the blanket his Grandma Gracie Hodges made.

The blanket in the background of this picture is one that my sister-in-law Jennifer made.

On Saturday the 9th all of us piled up into two cars and went to St. Louis for John to receive his Endowments at the St. Louis Temple. It was a remarkable day! :) Neither me or John can wait to go back to the temple again. This trip was also Masen's first trip so far away from home. He did really well, and slept most of the time. I am glad he did so well, I was a little worried.

Masen doesn't like the wind. Everytime it blew in his face he would get really fussy, so this is Daddy's way of keeping the wind out of his face. :)

Here are some random updated pictures of Masen. I am yet to get a picture of his smile but I will keep trying.

CHECK ME OUT!!!
My first outside outing and Aunt Morgan put her sunglasses on me since it was BRIGHT!

Tummy time which he doesn't mind until he is there to long.
One of Mommy's favorite outfits.
She LOVES coveralls.

Daddy didn't quite get my diaper on right.

Playing with Masen's Hair

I like to play and rub little Masen's head. It is so soft and precious. I am afraid if I keep playing with it as much as I do I might make it all go bald and he will loose it all before he is suppose too... :(
These are two pictures of Daddy's favorite way to do Masen's hair.

Masen came @ a Wonderful time!

I just want to say that I love the timing of my Sweet Masens' arrival. The trees are so green and Beautiful. This is one of my most favorite times of the year, where everything turns green and renews itself from the long winter. It just makes me think that the world is being reborn, and with the birth of Masen I love Spring time even more than before!
A few pictures of the trees on the road to my house.
